Caller ID Pool
Caller ID Pool
Caller ID Pools allow you to create a group of Caller IDs that can used when making outbound calls. The key reason for Caller ID Pools is to allow your system to display a different Caller ID each time you dial.
The limits on Caller IDs is somewhat dependant on your Voice Provider but the general restrictions are:
- Legally you may only utilise a Caller IDÂ that you own.Â
- Caller ID may be any national or local fixed line number
- Caller ID may be a mobile
- Caller ID may NOT be an 13, 1300 or 1800 no.
- Caller ID may NOT be a premium number
Many service providers will not allow a mobile no. and some will only allow you to present a Caller ID that is attached to your service.
Noojee allows for all of the above permissible options.
Trunk Groups
To utilise a Caller ID pool you need to create a CLID Rewrite for a Trunk Group.
Essentially when you dial a number the system will select a Trunk Group to dial through.
To utilise your pool create a Caller ID Rewrite with a Rewrite Type of 'Pool'.
The Trunk Group will then selected a Caller ID from the Pool at random each time a number is dialed.
Campaigner
Currently Noojee Campaigner (Noojee's Predictive dialer) utilises its own Caller ID Pool mechanism. The Campaigner Pool mechanism will be merge with this Pool mechanism in a forthcoming relase.
NJ Click
Currently Noojee Click (click to dial for browsers) utilises its own Caller ID Pool mechanism. The Campaigner Pool mechanism will be merge with this Pool mechanism in a forthcoming relase.
