Allocation Management

The Allocations screen allows you to do basic management of Allocations.

Allocations are normally created as a result of a Campaign Import however there are a some circumstances when you need to make some adjustments to an Allocation after it has been created as well as deleting old Allocations.

In rare circumstances you may also need to create an Allocation. This would only normally be needed if you are using the Lead Injector or the Insert Lead Disposition Action.

Fields

Field Description
Allocation Name The name of the allocation which is shown to Agents when they are choosing an Allocation to dial.
Screen Layout The screen layout to use when dialing this Allocation. Screen Layouts are owned by the Campaign Template and so there will often be more than one Screen Layout to choose from.
Start Date The date the Allocation was created.
Only Agents Owned Callbacks

This option controls what 'Client Approved Callbacks' are delivered to an Agent. If set then the only Client Approved Callbacks that will be dialed are those which are:

  • Owned by this agent;  and
  • From the Allocation the agent is currently dialing

This is often used when training new staff who arn't yet ready to deal with the complexity of Callbacks from other Campaigns.

Many call centres create a 'training' allocation which contains a small no. of allocations just for training and then use this option to isolate  trainees from Client Approved Callbacks generated by other Campaigns.

This setting essentially over-rides the 'Global' and 'Template' callback settings from the Campaign Template.
