ErrThe logging and Testing screen allows you to create 'simulated' calls into a route for testing purposes.

You can either 'simulate' a dial or capture a live call as it enters the system.

The logging process has no affect on the live call so you can perform testing on a live system, of course any route changes you make will take immediate affect so generally you should take a copy of a production route and test on the copy.

Dial Button

The dial button allows you to 'simulate' a call entering into the route.

Pre-requisites

You must be logged into Noojee Contact with a valid extension and that extension must be registered.

Dialing

If you entered the Logging and Testing screen from route you can just click Dial. Otherwise you can select a specific route to dial by adjusting the Context and Dial Target fields.

Click Dial.

Your extension will ring.

Answer the call.

The system will then route the call through the selected route logging each step.

Capture Next Call

The Capture Next Call allows you to test a production route whilst the system is in use. Traditionally this has been difficult to do on a busy system but the Capture Next Call button allows you to capture a single call.

The easiest method is to use the Match Mode 'CLID' and then dial into the system from your Mobile.

By entering your mobile no. into the 'Caller id to use' field the system will capture the next call from your mobile. This allows you to see the trace whilst interacting with the system.

Change Time

The change time option allows you to test after hours and holiday messages ahead of time by 'simulating' a specific date and time.
