In some circumstances an Agent may try to login before their shift starts or they may stay logged in after their shift has completed.

Early Login

WFM will not allow an Agent to login before their shift starts. If an agent wants to extend their shifts at the start of the day they must request that their shift manager modify their shift through the Roster management screen.

Late Logoff

If an agent remains logged in after their shift ends the system will automatically extend their shift until they log out. The agent will remain in the queues defined by their shift.

If the Agent should stay logged in until the start of their next shift, then their queues will be updated at the start of the new shift to reflect the new shifts requirements.

Change of Shift issues

For smaller organisations Shift changes are often managed a more relaxed manner. The above rules can cause problems during a shift change if an agent wants to leave early and asks their replacment to login early.

The above rules will not allow the replacement agent to login early.  If these 'soft' shift changes are a requirement for your organisation then you should ensure that at least one of the rostered team members have the appropriate permission to change an agents roster.
