Shift Extensions
In some circumstances an Agent may try to login before their shift starts or they may stay logged in after their shift has completed.
Early Login
WFM will not allow an Agent to login before their shift starts. If an agent wants to extend their shifts at the start of the day they must request that their shift manager modify their shift through the Roster management screen.
Late Logoff
If an agent remains logged in after their shift they will still be automatically logged out of their queues.
If you need an agent to work overtime then you MUST extend their shift via the Roster screen before their shift ends.
Change of Shift issues
For smaller organisations Shift changes are often managed in a more relaxed manner. The above rules can cause problems during a shift change if an agent wants to leave early and asks their replacement to login early.
The above rules will not allow the replacement agent to login early. If these 'soft' shift changes are a requirement for your organisation then you should ensure that at least one of the rostered team members have the appropriate permission to change an agent's roster.
