Noojee Phone
Noojee Phone is a telephone built right into Noojee Contact.
Overview
Easy to install and requires no configuration.
Once installed plug in a USB headset into your PC and you are ready to make and take calls.
You can then make and take calls just as you would a normal deskphone.
Noojee Phone works across the internet so you don’t need a phone line to use Noojee Phone, just a quality internet connection.
Noojee Phone is essentially a special web page that looks like a desktop application. For the technically minded Noojee Phone is a PWA.
When you install Noojee Phone a desktop icon is added and you can double click to run it.
Requirements:
Windows 10+, Mac OSX (latest version) or Linux (most distros).
Sound card
Latest version of Chrome
USB Headset with Microphone
Noojee Contact v7 or later.
Installing
If you an Administrator check the Administrators Guide .
If your Administrator has told you to install Noojee Phone then proceed as below.
Step 1) Login
Log into Noojee Contact using the Chrome Browser
You should see a green ‘Install’ button in the top right hand corner next to the Noojee logo.
If you don’t see the Install button try logging out and back in. If you still don’t see the Install Button then contact your administrator.
Step 2) Start the Install
Click the install button.
Step 3)
Click the Next button
Step 4) Allow Noojee Phone to install
Click the ‘Install’ button.
Note: depending on your operating system the install dialog may look different.
Step 5) Noojee Phone is installed
Noojee Phone is now installed.
Step 6) Plugin your headset

Note: your headset must have a microphone.
Step 7) Configure Audio
Click the speaker icon.
The audio settings dialog will appear:
Click the ‘Detect new Audio Devices’ button.
Step 8) check your speakers are working
The Speaker settings are used if your headset is not plugged in.
Click the Test button next to the Speaker drop list.
You should hear a ring sound coming from your PC speakers.
If you don’t hear any sound check your volume.
If you still don’t hear any sound click the Speaker drop list arrow and select a different audio device.
Click the Test button again. If you still don’t hear ringing through you PC speakers try each Audio device in turn.
Step 9) check your headset is working
Click the Test button next to the Headset drop list.
You should hear a ringing coming from your Headset.
If you don’t hear any sound check your volume.
If you still don’t hear any sound click the Headset drop list arrow and select a different audio device.
Click the Test button again. If you still don’t hear ringing through your headset try each Audio device in turn.
Step 10) Make a test call
Make a test call by entering a phone number via the dial pad (or by typing directly into the input field) and click the ‘Dial’ button. You can dial your mobile or another Noojee Phone.
Check that you can hear the other person and that they can hear you.
Stop 11) Your all done.
Noojee Phone will appear as a desktop Icon and is available in under the Start Button.
Don’t forget to start Noojee Phone each morning!
Time for a coffee.
12) Advanced option - start Phone when you login
You can have Noojee Phone automatically start whenever you login to your Windows Desktop.
To enable this feature open the following url in chrome:
chrome://apps/
Find the NoojeePhone icon.
Select the option 'start app when you sign in’.
Log out of Windows and log back in.
Noojee Phone should now start automatically.
Problems:
No audio
Check that you USB headset is plugged in.
If you play a youtube video can you hear the audio through your headset.
Check the Audio settings. See the install section above.
I can’t answer a call.
If you are running anti virus software try disabling it and see if that resolves the problem.
If you organisation uses a proxy then try disabling the proxy.
I can’t dial.

Bad Media Description
We have seen this error in two scenarios:
Mismatched codec - your Handset’s ‘Registration Options’ in Noojee Contact should have the following codec selected:
alaw
2) Chrome extensions
It appears that some chrome extensions can interfere with Noojee Phone’s operations.
Ad blocker looks to be a likely candidate.
To see if this is the problem disable all your chrome extensions:
On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More tools | Extensions.
Make your changes:
Turn on/off: Turn the extension on or off.
Registration Failed
This can be caused by a variety of issues but here are a few things you can check:
Disable all Chrome Extensions
Disable any Proxies
Disable any Firewall
Disable anti-virus
Call Noojee for help.
Don’t forget to re enable your firewall and/or anti-virus if you disable them.
Can’t install Noojee Phone
After logging into Noojee Admin you see the green ‘Phone’ button rather than the green ‘Install’ button.

The most likely cause is that Noojee Phone is already installed on your PC.
To check, enter the following url into Chrome.
chrome://apps
Look for the Noojee Phone Icon. If it appears then Noojee Phone is already installed.
Right click on the Noojee Phone Icon and choose the ‘Remove from Chrome…’ option.
Log out of you Windows/Mac OS desktop.
Log back to your Desktop and Noojee Admin and you should now be able to install Noojee Phone.
