3.1 Building the Lead list

A lead is a set of details (fields) about an individual or organisation and is the basic element around which Noojee Campaigner operates. All leads MUST contain a phone number; any other fields or number of fields required is up to the individual company.

These fields make up the “header row” which is required for leads to be imported into Noojee Campaigner. These fields are available to be used in the call script, either for importing lead details, i.e. phone, Firstname, etc., or for information to be obtain, i.e. sex, location, etc.

The figure below shows the “header row’ on the first line, followed by the lead information on the following rows.

You will note the list of phone numbers is under a field header ‘Phone’ this is the name that must be used for Noojee Campaigner. Other phone numbers can be added, but they will need to be given a different field header name, e.g. mobile number.

A leads list can also include the following fields:

  • callbackdate - a date to call back leads, entered in date format.

  • leadid - a lead ID for each individual lead, replaces the automatically generated lead ID by Noojee Campaigner. Used to link each lead to an external system by providing a unique reference number. If used it must have a unique lead ID for each lead and needs to be an integer number.

For leads to be imported into Noojee Campaigner they need to be stored in a 'comma separated variable width' file, more commonly know as a CSV file. A CSV file can be created using any spreadsheet application that has an option to save as a .csv file, for example, MS-Excel or Open Office Cal.
