Rewrite

Rewrite is a specialised Step designed to modify The Routed No.

When a call first enters Routes the dialed No and the Routed No are identical.

If a call passes through a Gosub the Routed No is set using the Gosub target.

The Rewrite action is also able to modify the Routed No.

Strip Prefix Length

The number of leading digits to remove from the phone no.

Strip Suffix Length

The number of trailing digits to remove from the phone no.

New Prefix

A new string to add to the beginning of the phone no.

New Suffix

A new string to add to the end of the phone no.

Example

You need to translate 613 8320 8100 to 03 8320 8100

Set the Strip prefix to 2 which will remove the '61' from the DID giving 3 8320 8100

Set the 'New Prefix' to '0' giving '03 8320 8100
