04.1.1 Steps

Overview

While a Route's Target and schedule determine whether a Route handles a particular Call, the 'Steps' define how that Call is dealt with.

You access the Call Route Steps by clicking the 'Steps' tab on the Route screen.

The Steps tab allows you to define a series of steps that are applied to the call. For instance you can Answer the call, send the call to a specific Extension, Queue or Voicemail box.

For advanced users the list of available Steps is also extensible by creating additional 04.1.10 Route Step Action Scripts using the Java programming language. If you are not a programmer but need additional functionality Noojee can also create new Route Scripts on your behalf.

Adding a  Route Step

Once you have created a Route you need to add one or more Steps to the Route.
To add a new Step click the 'Steps' tab and then click the 'New' button which appears under the Steps tab.

Next select the Action from the Action drop list:

Once you have selected the Action you may need to enter one or more parameters to control how the action is applied. For example the 'Dial' action requires that you enter the phone no. to dial.

If you have multiples Steps then they will be run in order from top to bottom. You can re-order steps simply be dragging a step up the list.
