03.5.4. Changing a handsets extension number

From time to time you may need to change a handsets extension number. This is done via the Handset list screen located under the Provision menu.

To change a handsets extension number perform the following steps.

• Click Provision | Handset

• Search for the existing extension

• Select the radio button to the left of the desired extension

• Click the 'Change Extension' button

• Enter the new extension number

• Click the 'OK' button

• Reboot the phone (this can be done by removing all cables to disconnect the power)

Note changing the handset's extension will update the following fields:

• Handset screen

• Extension Number

• Password

• Voicemail box

• Mailbox Number

• White Pages

• Extension Number
