Storage Locations

Storage Locations control where Noojee Admin stores recordings and backup files.

Noojee Admin supports three storage tiers:

Short Term - storage for recordings as they occur.

Mid Term - recordings are compressed and migrated to Mid Term each night unless recordings are encrypted then they are migrated at the end of each call.

Long Term - Mid Term recordings are copied to Long Term each night. Long Term is intended to be on an external storage device.

NOTE: if the Long Term storage location is on the same disk as the Mid Term then recordings will NOT be migrated to Long Term storage.

Each Storage Location has a retention period (Migrate Out Age Days) which controls how long recordings and backups are retained in that storeage location.

Providing all Storage Tiers are online, Noojee Admin will be able to find a recording regardless of which Storage Location it is stored on.

Mid Term is typically set to three months (90 days) with Long Term set based on business requirements. Typical Long Term retention periods are 1-7 years (365 - 2555 days).

Once a recording reaches the defined retention period it will be deleted from that Storage Location.

Fields

Field	Explanation
Name	Name of the Storage Location.
Path	The file system path to the location where recordings or backups are to be stored.
Migrate Out Age Days	The retention period in days. Any recordings or backups older than this age will be deleted.
Minimum Free Space Percentage	The storage location must have at least this much free space. If the free space falls below this threshold then recordings and backups will STOP!!!
Disable	If checked then this storage location will not be used. Disabling Short Term or Mid Term is VERY DANGEROUS!
Current Usage	Reports the amount of space consumed (estimate) by data stored in this location.
