Fields

Field Explanation
Context

The context controls which dial plan context is used when the handset attempts to make an outbound call. This should normally be set to 'default'.

Context is an advanced feature that can be used to setup specialised dial logic for some handsets.

Override Trunk Context

When making outbound calls the Trunks' default context can be over-ridden by the Handset.

If you enable this option then you must specify the 'Route Context' to use when dialing.

Note: this is a route v2 feature only.

Route Context

Only used when the 'Overide Trunk Context' option is enabled. Allows you to specify the Route Context used when dialing out. This can be used if you need to provide some specialised call processing for this handset when it dials out.

Note: this is a route v2 feature only.

Trunk Group The trunk Group controls which Trunk Group the handset will dial through.  The system has two default Trunk Groups, Default and Default International. The Default Trunk Group cannot dial international numbers whilst the Default International can. You may want to create additional Trunk Groups to apply different dialing restrictions or modify the existing Trunk Groups.
